SBI offers the highest quality backing tracks for license to professional singers and performers. Copies of the licensed tracks are usually provided by immediate download or on CD-R which can be delivered within a few working days.

If you require a license for broadcasting or commercial release, or for any use other than live backing then you should contact our global licensing department.

Orders can be placed directly on this website, or by email, telephone or fax. Our staff can help with any questions you may have. See our details on the contact page.

We remind all our clients to familiarise themselves with the terms of the licensing agreement, and to listen to tracks to ensure suitability, prior to purchase of the license. We have audio samples of almost all of our tracks available. Occasionally new tracks will not be available for audio samples or ordering by download because they have not yet been updated in our system. You can still order those titles on CD, or wait a few days and they should then be available.

To ensure that you are always viewing our most up-to-date list of available tracks we recommend that you use the online search facilities. What exactly is it that you sell?

SBI produce and license music worldwide, specialising in cover versions and backing tracks for professional singers and karaoke. This website is aimed at performing singers who require the very best backing tracks available. If you are interested in our tracks for any other use, you may wish to visit our other website at http://sbiglobal.com/uk. When you purchase from SBI, you are effectively buying a license from us which gives you all rights that we can allow you in order to perform with the track live. You are not buying the recording itself, although our fees include an adminstration cost for copying the track onto a CD-R or supplying an MP3 for you to download for use under the licensing agreement. Please note that we can only supply a license for the recording and in some situations you may be liable to pay royalties to the composer(s) of the title in question.

What does 'PLAYBACK', 'VOCAL GUIDE', 'COMPLETE' or '+b/vox' mean?

PLAYBACK is the industry standard term for a backing track (a musical recording with the vocal performance missing). Our backing tracks are produced to a very high standard and are as 'soundalike' to the original popular recordings as possible.

+b/vox means 'plus backing vocals' which is the musical backing PLUS all non-lead vocals.

VOCAL GUIDE or COMPLETE is a version of our backing track WITH the lead vocal part performed on top — these COMPLETE versions are available to you strictly as a guide for you to learn the song and are not intended to be played or performed publically.

I wish to use one of your tracks in a television programme / commercial CD / radio station etc. Do I need an additional license?

In almost all situations that do not fall under the basic agreement you (or the party broadcasting or using our track) will need to contact us and arrange an additional license.

How much do the tracks cost and are there any extra 'hidden' costs?

Our prices for online orders are much less than for telephone or fax orders. When ordering online, the price for PLAYBACK versions with or without backing vocals is £8 +V.A.T. per track.

For telephone or fax orders PLAYBACK versions WITH backing vocals cost £12.50 +V.A.T. per track and PLAYBACK versions without any backing vocals are priced at £10 +V.A.T. per track.

VOCAL GUIDE or COMPLETE versions for guide vocal purposes are £2.50 +V.A.T. per track.

In addition to the license fees, there is an administration charge of £2 +V.A.T. per order (NOT per track) which covers the supply of a CD-R copy of the tracks ordered. There is no admin charge for orders of MP3 files downloaded or sent by email.

Postage & Packing costs £1.28 +V.A.T. per order for standard Royal Mail delivery in the U.K.

Delivery outside the U.K. costs £5 +V.A.T. per order.

There are additional costs involved for Express orders, but please phone for details on this if required.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Tracks are usually despatched within 1 or 2 working days from the point that we receive your order. In some cases, a track may still be in production and in such circumstances we will inform you of the expected date of despatch at our earliest convenience. If you require your order urgently, we have an Express service that we can provide whereby we can, in most cases, deliver within 24 hours. If you wish to take advantage of this you will need to place your order by telephone before 1 o'clock in the afternoon for next day delivery, Please note that we will refuse to take Express orders if we are unable to deliver due to over-subscription, staff shortages etc. As stated in the licensing agreement, we can take NO responsibility for orders delayed or lost by the Royal Mail or Post Office.

If you require your tracks quickly we recommend using the MP3 by download option as this will have the tracks to you in minutes. MP3 by email is the second quickest as you are not relying on physical delivery of a CD.

Can you supply a copy of the original artists recording?

We cannot supply copies of the original artists recording. Instead we offer vocal guides for most titles. These are our backing tracks with a soundalike vocalist singing the lead vocal line. If you want to purchase original artist titles we suggest that you try one of the many sites available, such as this one.

Can you supply the sheet music for a track?

We cannot printed sheet music. If you want to purchase it we suggest that you try a site such as this one.

Can I duplicate, distribute, sell or copy the tracks myself?

All recordings supplied by SBI are copyrighted, and you must not duplicate, lend, hire out, broadcast, resell the tracks, or in any way breach the licensing agreement without further permission from SBI.

I have a problem / complaint.

Please contact us as soon as possible using any of the methods on our contact page.

I would like a printed catalogue.

Unfortunately we no longer offer printed catalogues by mail. However, you can download a recent listing in PDF, Excel or Word doc format and print it yourself. Please bear in mind that the website search will be far more up-to-date than these downloadable catalogues.

My tracks/disks have been lost or stolen. Can I get a replacement?

Firstly you will need to contact us quoting your invoice numbers for the lost tracks (otherwise we cannot guarantee to be able to find the list of titles). There will be a charge of £2 (+ V.A.T.) per track to provide replacements.
